This is Derek, the senior of the team. Father of two and Grandfather of four, he started riding motorcycles in 1964, and passed his test in that year. He has been riding (and learning) ever since. A RoSPA Gold standard advanced motorcyclist Derek holds national Instructor qualifications and has been conducting C.B.T. since 1990 and teaching the Direct Access scheme since it began in 1995. He is also a DSA registered post test motorcycle trainer. For a number of years he has conducted the "Jolly Boys" European motorcycle trip. This has become an annual event when six to eight blokes get together and tour France and/or Spain on bikes for a week or so and sample the local wines. It's a tough job but someone has to do it! |
