When riding to an advanced standard, not only will you be able to start exploiting the features of your machine, but more importantly you will be positioned on the correct side of the road, with the correct gear engaged, at the right speed, capable of stopping in the distance you can see to be clear. You will, by accurate observation and planning, cover the ground more quickly, although not always exceed the speed limit. Your cornering will be more accurate, and no traffic or weather condition will be likely to unsettle you.
